The Annapurna Luxury Lodge Trek is one of the newest walking treks in the Annapurna area. It is an ideal introduction to hiking in Nepal. This trek takes the travelers through relatively gentle walk traversing Nepal's Middle Hills and is designed for those who have no experience of Himalayan trekking. The path of this passes through Annapurna foothills with easy-paced walking. One can immerse oneself in the splendid beauty of Himalayas of the Annapurna range including Annapurna South, Fang, Annapurna 1, Gangapurna, Annapurna III and Annapurna V. Machhapuchhre seen throughout the trek. Besides it also provides an opportunity to interact with and witness daily village life of Gurung villages falling on the way.

Day 01 Arrive Kathmandu


Arrive Kathmandu.Flower garlands reception at the airport and transfer to hotel.Overnight at the hotel Yak and Yeti.


Day 02  Kathmandu Sightseeing Tour


We embark sightseeing tour of Kathmandu city,also called `Kantipur`or city of glory,visiting,`KUMARI`the LIVING GODDESS,Kasthamandap,the Big Bell,Kal Bharab etc.We also visit `Swayambhunath temple.This is a Buddist temple set high on a hillock with a commanding view of the Kathmandu vally.


Lunch on your own and can be had at one of the many good standard restaurants around town. Our guide will recommend the same.


After lunch we visit Pashupatinath temple and Boudhanath Stupa.Bouddhanath Stupa lies about six km to the east of downtown Kathmandu and is the largest stupa in the Valley. It looms 36 meters high and presents one of the most fascinating specimens of stupa design. Bouddhanath, a World Heritage Site, is also known as Khasti, or dew drops, after an account that builders had to use dew to mix the mortar as Kathmandu was suffering from a severe drought during its construction.


Pashupatinath Temple is one of the most sacred hindu shrines in the world.The richly-ornamented pagoda houses the sacred linga, or phallic symbol,of Lord Shiva. Chronicles indicate the temple's existence prior to 400 AD. Devotees can be seen taking ritual dips in the holy Bagmati river flowing beside the temple, also a World Heritage Site.

Day 3: Fly to Pokhara


After breakfast we fly 30 minutes to Pokhara, the picturesque, valley of POKHARA. Pokhara (population 395,000) is a place of remarkable natural beauty. The serenity of Phewa Lake and the magnificence of the fish-tailed summit of Machhapuchhre (6,977 m) rising behind it create an ambiance of peace and magic. At an elevation lower than Kathmandu, it has a much more tropical feel to it, a fact well appreciated by the beautiful diversity of flowers which prosper in its environs. Indeed, the valley surrounding Pokhara is home to thick forests, gushing rivers, emerald lakes and of course, the world famous views of the Himalaya. Pokhara is part of a once vibrant trade route extending between India and Tibet. To this day, mule trains can be seen camped on the outskirts of the town, bringing goods to trade from remote regions of the Himalaya. This is the land of the Magars and Gurungs, hardworking farmers and valorous warriors who have earned worldwide fame as Gurkha soldiers. The Thakalis, another important ethnic group here, are known for their entrepreneurship.


Afretnoon we spend an interesting day exploring the sights and sounds of Pokhara, situated on the shores of beautiful Phewa Lake. Surrounded by snow-capped peaks, perfect views of the Annapurnas are often reflected in its tranquil waters. Highlights of the day include Mahendra Cave, a visit to a Tibetan refugee camp, and boating on Lake Phewa. Also, in the late afternoon we can stroll by the lake, row to an island Hindu shrine, or just relax and wait for the sun to set behind the spectacular Himalayas.

Day 4: Trek to Sanctuary Lodge(3750 ft / 1150m)


We transfer by road with guides & porters to our trek start point {1-hour}. Our walk will follow a ridgeline in the lower foothills of the Annapurnas with surrounding views of the Pokhara Valley. This route then drops to the Modi River Valley, where Ker & Downey's Sanctuary Lodge is located. The lodge has magnificent views of the sacred and unclimbed Fishtail Mountain, or Machhapuchhre, as it is locally known. A picnic lunch is provided with a late afternoon arrival at the Lodge. (Trek time 3-4 hours).

Day 5: Trek to Himalaya Lodge, Ghandruk (6,600 ft / 2012m)


After breakfast, we leave the lodge walking out through the outlying farms following the Modi River Valley. Soon we begin to climb out of the valley & up towards the mountains. The trail passes through small hamlets, terraced rice fields and forests with spectacular views of the surrounding valley. Snacks are provided along the trail. Hot lunch is served on arrival at the lodge in the early afternoon. (Trek time 5-6 hours). It is from this lodge that there are magnificent close up views of the surrounding mountains.

Day 6: Trek to La Bee Lodge, Lhandruk (5415ft /1565m)


After enjoying a relaxing breakfast and the glorious views from the Himalaya Lodge, we start our trek to to Lhandruk. After leaving the village of Ghandruk, the trail descends steeply to the banks of the Modi River. Here, you’ll be at the base of the cliffs where the famed honey hunters of Nepal climb on ropes to collect the honey. You’ll then cross a strong suspension bridge to the opposite banks of the Modi. From here is it about a hour’s trek up switch backs and steps to reach the village of Lhandruk. Lhandruk affords more glorious views of the Annapurna range. Trek time about 4 hours. Arrive in time for lunch. Your guide will take you on a exploration hike of this mountain village after lunch.

Day 7: Trek to Gurung Lodge, Majgaun (4620 ft / 1400m)


After breakfast, we leave the Bee Lodge & trek to Ker & Downey's Gurung Lodge. Todays trek contours the side of the hill, with small ups and downs, passing through villages and farmland. Trek time to the Lodge is about 4 hours. You’ll reach the Gurung Lodge in time for lunch with optional afternoon hikes to the surrounding villages.

Day 8: Trek to Basanta Lodge, Dhampus (5000 ft / 1525 m)


This morning we start out trekking through the unspoiled village of Patlekhet. Our walk takes us through sub-tropical forests that include tree orchids, rhododendrons and magnolias. Along the way, we will stop at the village of Pothana where many Tibetan traders live and sell their souvenirs. After about 3 ½ hours, we arrive at the Basanta Lodge. From the lodge, there are sweeping views of the entire Annapurna Range. After lunch at the lodge there will be an optional walk through the old village of Dhampus.

Day 9: Trek to Pokhara & Fly back to Kathmandu (2640 ft /830 m)


After breakfast, we depart along the ridge & descend through the wooded hillside and terraced farmland to the valley floor. Trek time 1 ½ hours. We then transfer by vehicle to the Temple Tree Resort in Pokhara (30 minutes). On the way back to Pokhara, the vehicle can stop on request at the Tibetan refugee camp where you will have time to explore the temple complex. We’ll arrive Pokhara at the lunch time.


After lunch we drive to Airport for flight back to Kathmandu.Arrive Kathmandu meet assist and transfer to Hotel yak and Yeti.Afternoon free.


Evening: Farewell dinner with Nepali Folk dance
